EVENT DESCRIPTION:

Guided Life Drawing 7:30-9:30 PM

- Session 1 is "gestures" and is designed for the attendees to warm up their muscles and their brains. This session is about drawing rough shapes quickly. No time for details. This is highly dynamic. Lots of transitions. Each position is held for 30 seconds to one minute. Typically 10-12 transitions.

- Session 2 is slightly more static poses for 2 to 4 minutes each position. This is still dynamic and often intense on the person in rope. 5 to 7 transitions, often making the final two poses the longer four minute holds. The purpose of this session for the attendees is to allow them to get line weights worked out in their shapes and start working in some shading.

- Session 3 Is typically a partial suspension or complex a floor tie. The goal here is to give the attendees 20 minutes to really sketch in some detail and good shading. All sessions but especially this session is prefaced with the safety and comfort of the person in rope. It could be one 20 minute hold or two 10 minutes hold with a break in the middle to reset. Or four 5 minute sittings.

Rope Jam 7:30-11 PM

- NOTE: This is not a k*ink but a Shibari & art event. It’s open to anyone 18+ in the art community. No kink play, no bottoms nudity allowed

Urban Foraging with Lady Danni

🦉ODEON APOCALYPTIC SURVIVAL SERIES🦉

#(1) Urban Foraging with Lady Danni!

When: Saturday, May the 4th 10am-Noon

Where: Cosmic Cafe (1 Boathouse Row, Philadelphia, PA 19130-1002)

Group Size: Max 10 people

Cost: $26/person (with Odeon Community discount)

Workshop objective: We’ll begin discussing the plants most people dismiss that appear along with grass. We’ll then climb the rock staircase and across the top of the hill and then take the trail that runs parallel to the Kelly Drive. That trail ends at the bottom of Lemon Hill which we’ll climb towards Lemon Hill Manson and then follow it around until we reach Sedgely Drive and follow it back to the starting point, so it’s large loop.

Route: The route will begin at the bottom of Lemon Hill at the corner of Kelly & Sedgeley, directly across from our meeting spot of Cosmic Cafe.

Please read: Participants will need to be able to climb two flights of steps, one moderately steep incline/gill, and one narrow trail that may have rocks or roots under foot. none of it is particularly arduous, but I like to put that out for people that may have mobility issues.

About Lady Danni:

Hi I'm Lady Danni, and for those of you who are just joining me, thank you very much for finding me and following me. Appreciate that! Whenever new people follow me, I kinda wonder what they expect, but here's what you're going to get, and that is just somebody that loves weeds.

Now, I came into this a little bit later in life. I started on this path as I was becoming more and more disgruntled at work, I started to do a few things with my soap making, and that lead into aromatherapy, which lead to herbalism and then I started foraging and this is where I am now. And where is that? Basically it's a process where I keep learning about the benefits of things you're generally stepping over, or ripping out and just calling weeds. You see, just because you call something, something, doesn't mean that's what it is.And people underestimate weeds, or if there's no information about a certain plant, will say that has no value. And it may have great value, you're just not aware of it.
